Benefit Polo Match to be Held for Injured Jockey

The Brandywine Polo Grounds will hots a benefit for injured jockey, Jake Chalfin.

Come out and enjoy a day of polo – plus support a worthy cause: to raise funds for injured steeplechase jockey, Jake Chalfin.

Admission includes a chance to meet the riders, stroll the grounds and see vendors, an antique car show, and  carriage parade during the champagne “divot” stomp.  There will also be a special  "Jockey Chukker,” featuring many of  Chalfin’s friends who will attempt to play a sport they are not used to: polo.

Of course, the highlight of the day is the polo game featuring the professional players of the Brandywine Polo Club. Bring a picnic and enjoy food and drink while you’re watching the game. Following the game, convene to a covered area and enjoy an Open Bar and BBQ picnic.  Live entertainment will be part of the fun.

The “Chasin’ for Chalfin” team - comprised of  a group of close friends and family –  was established to help with the long-term healthcare expenses (in excess of $1 million) for  Jake Chalfin. He suffered a spinal cord injury when he  fell from his horse while competing at the last year’s Blue Ridge Fall Races in Berryville, Va.

For more information on tickets, sponsorship or vendor opportunities, please contact Ericka Fuchsloch at fuchslochee@comcast.net or 856-630-9170. You can follow Jake’s progress and previous fundraising events by visiting the web site.
