Pair Of Golden Rams Named To PSAC All-East First Team

Junior John Breeden and senior Lance McDowell were each named to the 2012 All-PSAC East team.

West Chester University’s men’s basketball landed two players on the 2012 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) all-league squad it was announced by the conference office this week.

Heading into the semifinals of the PSAC Tournament this weekend, Breeden ranks 20th in the PSAC in scoring 13.1 points per game, and is shooting 40 percent from the field this season. Breeden is seventh assists, dishing out 4.1 per contest. He is 11th in steals (35).
 
Breeden scored 315 points this season – his first on campus. Breeden spent is freshman campaign at Siena College. He needs just one assist to reach 100 helpers on the season.
 
McDowell has also been one of the top players in the conference this season, ranking eighth in the conference in scoring (16.3), and is fifth in rebounding, pulling in 7.5 per contest.
 
McDowell has posted 423 points this season. He has kept the opponents away from the basket by blocking 20 shots this season as well. McDowell has recorded 132 defensive rebounds this year as well.
 
Joining Breeden and McDowell on the all-league first team were Dontahe Jordan, the Eastern Division player of the year from Bloomsburg, Duane Johnson from East Stroudsburg and Eric Brennan and Nate Edwards from Kutztown. Bloomsburg center Larry Webster was the defensive player of the year in the East while Joe Bell from Mansfield was the freshman of the year. The Huskies’ John Sanow was the loop’s coach of the year.
