Lauren Glassey Named PSAC Athlete Of Week In Women's Lacrosse

Glassey had 11 goals and three assists for the Golden Rams last week.

West Chester University junior midfielder Lauren Glassey was chosen as the PSAC Women's Lacrosse athlete of the week it was announced by that organization on Tuesday afternoon.

Glassey recorded a total of 11 goals and three assists for 14 points in two West Chester wins last week over Millersville and Shippensburg. She scored her 11 goals, one of which was a game-winner, on 17 shots on goals and 20 overall shots and also added four ground balls, four draw controls and four caused turnovers.

In last Tuesday's 18-5 win over Millersville, Glassey posted a career-high six goals, including the game-winner, and eight points while also adding two assists, three ground balls and three draw controls. In Friday's 19-10 win over Shippensburg, Glassey scored five goals and dished out an assist.

Glassey is currently second on the team in scoring with 39 points and leads the Golden Rams in scoring with 25 goals. She also has two game-winning goals on the spring. Her 14 assists ranks second on the team as well. Glassey is also 17th in the PSAC in goals scored.

West Chester returns to action on Thursday at home in a non-league match against Georgian Court at 4:30 p.m. at Vonnie Gros Field.
