Flood Watch Issued for West Chester

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch in effect from Friday morning through Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the West Chester Area going into effect Friday morning and lasting until Saturday morning.

Experts predict that one to two inches of rain is possible with the heaviest amounts falling before dawn on Friday.

Adding to the threat of a flood is the presence of snow on the ground that has not melted and a chance of thunderstorms.

While the rain is expected to stop by Friday evening, most rivers, streams and creeks will not crest until Saturday.
