Another WCU Athlete Finishes Competition at Olympic Trials

Former West Chester University national champion swimmer, Jackie Borkowski (WCU '10) placed in a tie for 86th in the 50-yard freestyle at the U.S. Olympic Trials inside the CenturyLink Center Sunday afternoon.

Former West Chester University national champion swimmer, Jackie Borkowski (WCU '10) placed in a tie for 86th in the 50-yard freestyle at the U.S. Olympic Trials inside the CenturyLink Center Sunday afternoon.

Borkowski, who won three individual national titles at the 2010 NCAA Division II Championships, clocked a time of 26.43 seconds in her prelim. Borkowski was seeded 119th entering the event. She improved 33 places with her performance on Sunday.

The 50 free was Borkowski's only event at the U.S. Olympic Trials. She is the first women's swimmer from West Chester University to compete at the U.S. Olympic Trials since current head coach Jamie Rudisill has built the Golden Rams' dynasty in the pool.
