Bacterial Meningitis Kills WCU Student
A third-year West Chester University student who had contracted bacterial meningitis died, university spokeswoman said.
Third-year West Chester University student Sean Casey died after contracting bacterial meningitis, 6ABC news said.
According to 6ABC, Casey was enrolled in the honors program, and in a statement released by the university, he was described as:
Quite active in campus life as a member of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Musical Fraternity, Honors Student Association, and was a well-respected student leader working in the Sykes Union Building as a Student Director.

Bacterial meningitis typically spreads by person-to-person contact and possible from direct saliva contact. It is not considered to be highly contagious.
