Council to Consider More Parking Permits

The West Chester Borough Council Committees will meet Monday night to discuss public works, parks and parking.

On Monday, the West Chester Borough Council will hold the first night of its committee meetings.  Here’s a quick overview of what’s on the agenda for each committee.

Public Works:

Not a whole lot on this agenda, but the committee will discuss maintenance contracts for the Chestnut Street Garage.  The committee will also discuss bids received to purchase some the borough’s used equipment and vehicles.

Parks and Recreation:

Another short agenda but the committee will discuss a new initiative from the county health department that would help promote tobacco free parks and playgrounds.

Parking:

The committee will discuss an offer from the university to prepare and administer a parking issues and needs survey.  They will also discuss a request by residents of 50 South New Street to be added to the residential parking permit program.
