The Chestnut Street Garage managed to cover its debt service cost, but it could not generate enough revenue to cover operating expenses resulting in a loss of $182,000.

In 2011, the parking department issued 89,315 parking citations in the Borough of West Chester.  That number increased by 8,222 compared to 2010.  That jump can mostly be attributed to the increased enforcement hours that went into effect at the beginning of 2011.

Moving forward in 2012, parking director Xavius daSilva-Thompson recommends that the borough conduct a professional parking study.
