Binder Wins Primary Over Jones

Bret Binder defeats Cassandra Jones in the Democratic primary in the 156th legislative district.

East Bradford resident Bret Binder has defeated West Chester Borough council member Cassandra Jones in the Democratic primary for the 156th legislative district.  Binder will once again square off against Dan Truitt in the November general election.

Binder earned 1231 votes while Jones garnered 1134.

Despite winning all of the borough precincts, Jones only carried three of the outlying precincts all of which were in West Goshen Township.  Binder swept East Goshen as well as the two precincts in East Bradford Township.

In the presidential primary, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney ran away with the race in the county earning 65 percent of the vote, and Ron Paul came in second in the county with 14 percent of the vote.
