West Goshen police have confirmed that West Chester resident and member of MTV's "Jackass" Ryan Dunn died early this morning in a car crash.
Dunn lost control of his car around 2:30 a.m. near the off-ramp for Pottstown Pike on the West Chester bypass.
According to police, Dunn's Porsche crashed into a tree and burst into to flames.
A witness identified Dunn's body by his tattoos, and a passenger also died in the crash but has not yet been identified by police.
According to police, Dunn's car traveled through 40 yards of trees before hitting the last one and bursting into flames.
Right now, officials have determined that speed was a contributing factor to the crash.
Dunn was 34-years-old.
Dunn became a part of the "Jackass" crew in the early "CKY" days when Dunn, "Bam" Margera and their friends were kids making videos.
Those videos eventually gained a following, and the CKY crew teamed up with Johnny Knoxville to form "Jackass"
"Jackass" would go on to produce three movies and countless spin-off shows.
Johnny Knoxville put up a statement on his twitter this afternoon mourning his friend.
"Today I lost my brother Ryan Dunn. My heart goes out to his family and his beloved Angie. RIP Ryan, I love you buddy."
