Police Blotter: Woman Asks to Borrow Car, Drives to Pittsburgh

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

DUI: arrested 19-year-old West Chester resident Michael Johnson on Dec. 3, in the 300 block of East Market Street for allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance.  Police allegedly also found Johnson to be in possession of marijuana.

DUI: Police arrested 31-year-old West Chester resident Douglas Ragland on Dec. 3, for an alleged DUI as a result of a traffic stop.

DUI: Police arrested 29-year-old West Chester Resident Courtney Helmuth on Dec. 2, for an alleged DUI.  According to police, Helmuth was involved in a vehicle accident at Virginia Avenue and North High Street as she proceeded through the stop sign.  After the accident investigation, police arrested Helmuth.

Robbery: Police are investigating a report of an armed robbery in the 400 block of South High Street on Dec. 3, an approximately 1 a.m.  According to police, the actor is described as an African-American male approximately six feet one inch in height of medium build.  The victim described him wearing a dark jacket, jeans and Timberland boots.  According to the victim, the man displayed a black handgun and fled the scene onto Juniper Alley after taking a cell phone from the victim.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.

Disorderly Conduct: On Nov. 24, at 2:17 a.m. police were dispatched to located at 11 Wes Gay Street for a report of a fight.  As a result Jesse Miller of Downingtown was taken into custody for alleged disorderly conduct, failure to disperse and obstructing the administration of the law.  Michael Tinari of Southhampton was also arrested for alleged disorderly conduct and failure to disperse.

DUI: Police arrested 27-year-old Coatesville resident Daniel Wagner on Dec. 2 at 2:23 a.m. in the 500 block of East Market Street for an alleged DUI after officers observed Wagner make a traffic violation. 

Theft: A man reported to police on Nov. 13 he loaned his car to an acquaintance, Somji Smith, who was supposed to return the vehicle after two hours.  As of Nov. 30, Smith has failed to return the vehicle.  After further investigations it was determined that Smith went to Pittsburgh where she currently resides.  A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Drugs: On Nov. 26, a vehicle stop was conducted in the 400 block of South Walnut Street.  During the course of the investigation, 20-year-old passenger Vincent Rosanelli of Quakertown was taken into custody for alleged possession of narcotics, drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.
