Police Blotter: Student Charged with Making Terroristic Threats

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Terroristic Threats: On March 26, at approximately 11:51 a.m.,  a reporting officer invested a report of terroristic threats at the Lincoln Center Transformational Education Academy located at 501 East Miner Street.  According to police a student of the Lincoln Center became combative with another student while playing basketball in the gymnasium and was approached by the facility’s director Scott Van Vooren.  According to Van Vooren, the student was sent home after refusing to talk about the incident.  At that time the student ran out of Van Vooren’s office and went back upstairs to the gymnasium in search of the other student the confrontation had been with.  Van Vooren restrained the student that stormed out of his office to prevent further escalation during which the student allegedly shouted, “I am going to get a gun and blow off your head and everyone else in the school.”  An arrest warrant has been issued for the student.
