Car Lot Vandal Arrested, Police Say

According to West Chester Police, the man, 23, caused $2,200 of damage to the lot.

A 23-year-old Pottstown man was arrested at Drexel University last week for a warrant held by West Chester police.

According to the department, in July of 2011, West Chester Police were called to Affordable Rental car at Hannum Avenue for a report of a subject striking vehicles. When police arrived at the scene, they found that the vandal was under the influence of alcohol.

The man allegedly caused more than $2,200 of damage to a white Hyundai sedan and a screen on the business' building.

The defendant was charged with criminal mischief and public drunkenness, but didn’t respond to the court, according to police. On Feb. 18, he was taken into custody at Drexel and released on bail. He faces preliminary hearing on March 5.
