Man Swipes Bike, Chainsaw from Knollwood Drive Home, Police Say

The defendant is an acquaintance of the victims, according to West Goshen Police.

A 22-year-old West Chester man was arrested last weekend after West Goshen Police say he stole a bicycle and a chainsaw from a home on the 1200 block of Knollwood Drive.

On Saturday at 6:59 p.m., police say they received report of a theft of an expensive bicycle. According to police, the victims of the crime immediately identified the defendant as a suspect. The defendant, police say, is a friend of the victims and occasionally stays at the residence.

Police interviewed the defendant, who admitted to taking the bicycle and a chainsaw from the residence, police say.

The man was arrested and arraigned on charges of theft and receiving stolen property on April 6, and faces preliminary hearing on Tuesday.
