Man Slumped Over Wheel at Wawa Gets DUI, Police Say

West Goshen Police found the defendant in the store's parking lot at 3:41 a.m.

A 32-year-old West Chester man was charged with DUI in April after West Goshen Police say they found him slumped over the wheel of his car in a Wawa parking lot.

On April 12 at 3:41 a.m., police were on patrol in the area of the Wawa convenience store located at 1195 Pottstown Pike, when they saw the defendant leaning over the steering wheel of his car.

The man smelled like alcohol and consented to and failed a series of field sobriety tests, police say. He was charged with DUI and taken to Chester County Hospital to have blood drawn for testing.
