Man Receives DUI after Driving Without Headlights

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

DUI: On Dec. 28, at approximately 10:48 p.m., West Chester police officers observed a vehicle travelling south on Wayne Street at Gay Street without headlights.  Officers stopped the vehicle, and after a conversation, the officer observed that he could smell alcohol on the driver.  The officer asked the driver to perform field sobriety tests that he allegedly failed. 

Drugs: On Jan. 1, as a result of a traffic stop at the intersection of South Franklin Street and East Nields Street police took 20-year-old West Chester resident Matthew Scott into custody for alleged possession of two sandwich bags containing over an ounce of suspected marijuana.
