Get Out: Dog Show, Movies in the Park, Consignment Sale

West Goshen Township Fall Movies Series

  • When: Saturday, Sept. 22 7:30 p.m. 
  • Where: West Goshen Community Park  
  • Why Go: Tonight kicks off the Fall Movie Series with Dr. Seuss' The Lorax. Guests are encouraged to bring a dry good item for the West Chester Food Cupboard and the Veterans' Administration hospital in Coatesville. In the event of rain, movies will be shown in the West Goshen Township Administration Building.  
  • Cost: Free

Fifth Annual Best of Westtown Dog Show

  • When: Saturday, Sept. 22. 10 a.m. - noon.
  • Where: Oakbourne Park, 1014 South Concord Road
  • Why Go:Come out and enjoy the annual dog show. Walk through the park, visit information booths and special guests and enjoy food for both humans and pets.
  • Cost: $5 entree fee per dog

Just Between Friends Consignment Sale

  • When: Saturday, Sept. 22. and Sunday, Sept. 23 at 8 a.m.
  • Where: Brandywine Youth Club - 41 S. Thornton Road, Glen Mills
  • Why Go:There are over 400 consignors participating in this event. The best in "gently used" children's and maternity clothing, as well as, shoes, baby equipment, furniture, outside playground equipment, nursery and maternity items, books, software, videos and lots of toys!
  • Cost: *Saturday- $3 admission fee.  Sunday - free.

Run-A-Muck and Countryside Bash

  • When: Saturday, Sept. 22 at 2:30 p.m.
  • Where: Heartwood, 912 Providence Road in Newtown Square.
  • Why Go: This is the major fundraiser of the year for the Willistown Trust Foundation.  Come run  or muck (walk) along the a beautiful part of Willistown not normally open to the public. All proceeds go toward further preservation of the Willistown countryside.
  • Cost: $60
