More 202 Construction Slated for this Week

The construction project continues.

PennDot workers will continue road surface improvements on Route 202 between Route 3 and Route 322.

The $19.3 million project began in May of 2010 and is expected to be completed May, 2012.

Below is the construction schedule provided by PennDot:

Northbound Route 202 will be reduced to one lane between Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and Route 322 from 7 p.m. Friday (Aug. 5) to 5 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 7).

In addition, the following ramps will be closed and detoured from 7 p.m. Friday (Aug. 5) to 5 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 7):

• Northbound Route 202 off-ramp to Paoli Pike - The posted detour is Route 202 North to the Boot Road exit, then left on Boot Road and left at the ramp to Route 202 South to the Paoli Pike exit;

• Paoli Pike on-ramp to Route 202 North – The posted detour is Route 202 South to the Westtown Road exit, then left on Westtown Road and left at the ramp to Route 202 North;

• Westtown Road on-ramp to Route 202 South – The posted detour is Route 202 North to the Route 3 (West Chester Pike) exit, then left at the ramp to Route 202 South; and

• Northbound Route 202 off-ramp to Westtown Road – The posted detour is Route 202 North to the Route 3 (West Chester Pike) exit, then left at the ramp to Route 202 South to the Westtown Road off-ramp.

PennDOT advises drivers to allow additional time for travel on Route 202 during construction or use an alternate route because backups will occur.
