CNN Names West Goshen One of America's Top 100 Places to Live

In its annual poll of the top 100 places to live in America, CNN ranked West Goshen 25th nationally based on job-opportunities, schools, crime, economic strength and "stuff to do."

West Goshen was one of five Pennsylvania communities to crack CNN's top 100, and at 25th, West Goshen is the states highest ranked. 

The other locations in the state include the Philly suburb of Horsham at 31, Ardmore at 45, McCandless Township near Pittsburgh at 46 and West Norriton near King of Prussia at 59.

According to CNN, West Goshen gets high marks for giving "residents a rural feel yet good access to jobs."

CNN also states that Route 202 allows residents of West Goshen easy access to high-paying jobs at local high-tech firms like Siemens, Vanguard and IKON.

According to the CNN data, West Goshen residents make less as a household than the average CNN "best place;" however, West Goshen home values outpace the average "best place" towns by about $50,000. 

West Goshen students also test better in reading than similar towns in the survey, and the students are right on par for math testing.

According to the survey, the median age in West Goshen is 37.6 years old.
