When: Sunday, July 8, 9 a.m.

What: Co-sponsored by the Schuylkill Environmental Education Center, brilliant butterflies abound in the fields and gardens of Rolling Hill Park during the summer. Team up with butterfly maven Jane Ruffin and the Conservancy’s Patty Thompson to conduct our annual butterfly count. Learn to identify painted ladies, swallowtails, hairstreaks and more while assisting this citizen-science census. Bring binoculars and field guides, if possible.

What: Featuing over 20 vendors from the West Chester area, the weekend market is a means for area residents to show off their homemade wares. According to the market's website, only handmade, or homegrown products, produced or harvested by the vendors themselves can be sold at the market.

When: Friday, July 6, 7 p.m.

What: Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy music under the stars at this family event featuring a diverse lineup of performers from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. This week's concert is a performance from The Obsoleets, a band that plays roots, blues and gospel music.
