Story by Courney Elko

Name: Cheryl Ames

Business: Sweet Salvation Truffles

Business Location: West Chester but no retail shop

Year Started: August 2012

What's in Season:
The toffee seems to be year round but the caramels and dark chocolate truffles seem to be more for summer. I will be doing a pumpkin spice toffee around Thanksgiving.

Most Popular Item:
I was told my toffee is the best in the world. My different flavored truffles and filled chocolates with deluce de leche are popular, and my "best in the world" toffee, of course. The majority of people seem to use the flavored truffles for gifts. I think because they are so pretty.

Why Bring Your Goods Here:
I'm just getting started. I just had my one-year anniversary, and I decided I would start at farmers markets and expand out from there. That's my easiest way to give samples to people so they can taste my product and get the word out. It seemed to me to be the best way to market right now.

Shameless Plug:
Find Sweet Salvation Truffles at the Artisan Exchange in West Chester and the Kennett Square, East Goshen, Upper Merion and Newtown Square farmers' markets. Find them on Facebook too and give them a 'Like
