We will discover spring as nature slowly awakens from its winter slumber. Your child will explore natural materials including young spring leaves and beautiful spring flowers, delicate peach blossoms and all of the little critters that are returning to the garden. These explorations will be the inspiration for one of a kind 2-D and 3-D art pieces your child will create using a variety of techniques and materials. The goals of this class are to introduce children to the art that can be found within nature, teach them to see its beauty and inspire them to create their own masterpieces.
For children ages 3 to 6.
Free trial classes for new families and drop-in classes are also available.
Next Class - Thursday, April 19
We will look at the natural art works by Andy Goldsworthy and find inspiration in his creations. Children will then search for materials outdoors and use other provided nature materials to create their own unique 3-D works of art. We will photograph art work that can't be transported home and e-mail the pictures to the parents. Each child will also receive a bag with a selection of natural materials to take home.
