League of Women Voters to Hold Forum on Public Education

Guest speakers will talk about the importance of public education on Friday night.

The League of Women Voters of Chester County will host a panel on public education on Friday, October 21, from 7-9 p.m at the building.

With five guest speakers slated for the event, topics will range from the economic impact of public education as well as how to best take action and become an advocate for your student.

Another aim of the panel is to talk about the best ways to keep politics out of public education, and to hear about legislation that is currently being debated across the school district, state and country.

Slated to appear on the panel are the Director of Education Policy and Leadership Center, the Director of the Keystone State Eduction Coalition, the head of the Chester County Intermediate Unit and the mayor of .

The League of Women Voters also promises two "surprise guests."
