What would you like to see at the former site of Toast Tavern in West Goshen?
Not even a year of its grand opening, Toast Tavern shuttered its doors to the public, according to The Daily Local. Toast Tavern replaced the longtime Cajun restaurant Crawdaddy's in early 2011 but closed up shop in the fall of 2011. West Chester Patch wants to know what you would like to see at this vacant site.

The Blarney Stone in West Goshen will open at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
Want to eat like the Irish do? Check out The Blarney Stone's special St. Paddy's Day menu. The menu will be served on the Irish holiday, which takes place on Sunday. Breakfast at The Blarney Stone will be served from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday. Be on the lookout for $1 breakfast sandwiches, two tents set up outdoors with live music, a DJ inside, and $2 jello shots on Sunday. Oh, and you can find green beer here on that day as well.

Lirim Rufati, 24, is a student at West Chester University and lives in West Chester. The tractor trailer was hauling chicken legs when it crashed in West Goshen.
Update 9:15pm: The tractor trailer has just been removed from the scene, reports Abel Brothers. Update 7pm: Based on PennDOT camera images, traffic is flowing again, but the truck has not been moved. Original story continues below The afternoon rush became much worse than usual Thursday when a tractor trailer crashed in the northbound lanes of Route 202 at Matlack Avenue in West Goshen. Traffic on Route 202 is backed up in both directions around the truck, which is mostly off in the woods on the side of the road. According to Abel Brothers towing, the 18-ton truck was hauling chicken legs. The trailer broke open in the crash, so its contents must be unloaded by hand before the truck can be righted, which could take up to four hours. […

As part of the $19.3 million project to improve four miles of Route 202 in West Goshen and Westtown townships, Chester County, overnight operations are scheduled next week (March 19-23) to remove and replace overhead sign structures, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today. Crews will install new sign structures on Route 202 and High Street for PennDOT’s project to rehabilitate and resurface 4.3 miles of Route 202 between the Route 100 Interchange and High Street. West Goshen placed 25th in the national poll.
In its annual poll of the top 100 places to live in America, CNN ranked West Goshen 25th nationally based on job-opportunities, schools, crime, economic strength and "stuff to do." West Goshen was one of five Pennsylvania communities to crack CNN's top 100, and at 25th, West Goshen is the states highest ranked. The other locations in the state include the Philly suburb of Horsham at 31, Ardmore at 45, McCandless Township near Pittsburgh at 46 and West Norriton near King of Prussia at 59. According to CNN, West Goshen gets high marks for giving "residents a rural feel yet good access to jobs." Police are investigated a shooting in West Goshen that left one dead and another injured.
The Daily Local is reporting that a shooting in West Goshen early Monday morning left one man dead and another woman injured following a likely domestic dispute. Police responded to a 911 call at the 800 block of Stewart Drive for what they thought to be a burglary in progress. The Daily Local reports that officers quickly learned that a woman had been injured and that a man was also injured lying on the kitchen floor. Both of the couple's children were home during the incident, but neither was injured, according to the Daily Local The Daily Local also says that the couple's nine-year-old made the 911 call after getting up to investigate the noise and hearing a weapon discharge.
