Alleged Killers Charged in Death of West Chester Man
Two men charged with murder after West Chester resident Jamal Scott died from a gunshot wound on Jan. 25.
Two men are charged with murder in the January shooting death of West Chester resident Jamal Scott. Sergio Droz, 24, of Chester, and Anthony Brightwell Jr., 24, of Upper Darby, are charged with murder, criminal homicide, robbery, possession of instruments of crime and criminal conspiracy. West Chester police say they have both men in custody. Police received a report of shots fired on Jan. 25 shortly before 11 p.m. in the area of Matlack and Union streets, according to a police report. Several minutes later, Scott arrived at Chester County Hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest. Police believe that Scott drove himself to the hospital.
