None of the West Chester Area muncipalities will be collecting trash on Thursday because of Thanksgiving. Here's breakdown of when trash will be picked up this holiday week. This schedule only applies to you if your trash is traditionally picked up on Thursday. West Chester Borough: Trash will be picked up on Friday, Nov. 23. West Goshen Township: Trash will be picked up on Friday, Nov. 23. East Goshen Township: Trash will be picked up on Friday, Nov. 23. Westtown Township: Trash will be picked up on Saturday, Nov. 24.
Officials in local municipalities delay trash pickup on Monday.
According to the West Chester Borough Facebook page, all Monday trash collection will be postponed until Tuesday, Oct. 30. Additionally, all trash and recycling pickups for the week will be delayed by one day. West Goshen Township urges citizens: Do not put your trash or recyclables out on Monday, saving trash until Thursday and recyclables until the following week if possible. East Goshen Township has cancelled Monday night's scheduled Neighborhood University. They go on to say that if you registered for the event, you will be notified when it is rescheduled. Nothing has come down from the school district as of 2:15 p.m. Sunday, but I'll let you know if something changes.
