The following is a press release from PennDOT. The final paving operation on the $19.3 million improvement of Route 202 in West Goshen and Westtown townships, Chester County, will slow nighttime travel between Matlack Street and Route 100 on Sunday through Thursday (April 29-May 3) from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today. Route 202 will be restricted to one lane in each direction each night as crews place the final layer of asphalt on this stretch of the four-lane highway. Route 202 motorists are advised to allow more time for travel or use an alternate route during construction because backups and delays will occur. Crews are scheduled to work on Route 202 between Matlack Street and Route 100 in West Goshen Township, Chester County on Monday through Friday (April 9-13) from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. to prepare the highway for resurfacing, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today. Overnight travel on northbound and southbound Route 202 will be reduced to a single lane at night next week as crews mill the pavement, adjust utility manholes and perform other operations in preparation for paving this part of the highway. Final paving operations are expected to start April 15. Nighttime lane closures are scheduled three nights next week (Nov. 20-22) on two sections of Route 202 in Chester County for road construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today. Southbound Route 202 will be reduced from two lanes to one between the Chesterbrook and Route 401 interchanges in Tredyffrin and East Whiteland townships on Sunday through Tuesday (Nov. 20-22) from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for barrier placement and line striping. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that one lane will be closed on northbound and southbound Route 202 between Boot Road and Route 30 in West Goshen, East Goshen and West Whiteland townships, Chester County, on Sunday through Thursday (Nov. 6-10) from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge repairs. The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather. The work is part of PennDOT’s $4,142,600 project to repair and replace bridge joints on various highways in the Philadelphia region. A.P. Construction, Inc. of Blackwood, N.J., is the general contractor on the 100 percent state financed project. The work on this project is expected to be completed by June 2012. Lane and ramp closures will start Monday (Oct. 31) on High Street (Bus. Route 322) in West Goshen and Westtown townships, Chester County, for overhead bridge repairs, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today. High Street (Bus. Route 322) will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Lexington Avenue and Robins Nest Lane, and the southbound High Street (Bus.
