Robbery Suspect Shoots Self in the Foot

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Robbery: On Nov. 25, at approximately 3 a.m., a 17-year-old Pottstown resident walked into the Chester County Hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his foot.  An investigation linked the shooting with an armed robbery that occurred earlier in the evening at the intersection of Dean and Church Streets.  During the robbery, the suspect pointed a shotgun in the face of a 21-year-old pedestrian and demanded the pedestrian’s items.  Investigators believe that the suspect shot himself in the foot as he fled the robbery with the pedestrian’s backpack.

Update: Suspect in $50,000 Bryn Mawr Jewelry Theft from West Chester

Police arrested Ann Gleason for her alleged role in a robbery of a Bryn Mawr home.

A 34-year-old West Chester woman was arrested on third-degree felony charges relating to an October theft of $50,000 worth of jewelry in Bryn Mawr, according to Lower Merion police.  The victim, of Springmont Circle in Bryn Mawr, discovered the jewelry missing between Oct. 2 and 7 and reported the missing items to Lower Merion police.  The suspect, Ann Tucker Gleeson, was a lifelong friend of the victim’s daughter, according to police. Information leading to Gleeson’s Feb. 2 arrest came from another police department conducting a separate investigation, police said, adding that a person in possession of some of the jewelry said Gleeson had given it to them.
