Dooley Named Interim WEGO Police Chief
The East Whiteland Police Chief will oversee two departments until a permanent replacement can be found for the Westtown-East Goshen force.
East Whiteland Police Chief Gene Dooley will serve as interim police chief for the Westtown-East Goshen Police Department, according to a report from the Daily Local News. The decision was made at a special Police Commission meeting Wednesday morning. Dooley will continue to serve as chief in East Whiteland while filling the temporary WEGO role vacated by former chief John Dumond, who retired from the job in June.
