Police: DUI Checkpoint Nabs Several

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

DUI: On Sept. 29, West Chester police arrested 24-year-old Malver resident David Parry after he allegedly was caught at a DUI checkpoint in the 600 block of East Market Street. DUI: On Sept. 29, police arrested 25-year-old Broomall resident Perry Dortone after he was allegedly caught at a DUI checkpoint in the 500 block of East Gay Street.

Police: Two Arrested at DUI Checkpoint

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

DUI: On April 28, West Chester Police arrested 25-year-old West Chester resident Gary Crothers in the 600 block of East Market Street for an alleged DUI.  Police arrested Crothers after a DUI checkpoint. DUI: On April 28, police arrested 23-year-old Souderton resident Nick DePaul for an alleged DUI as a result of a DUI checkpoint. Simple Assault: On April 29, police responded to the West Chester University campus near the 300 block of South High Street at 6:24 a.m. after a report of an assault that occurred in the borough at approximately 5:20 a.m.  As a result of the ensuing investigation, police arrested 22-year-old Upper Darby resident Amir Abdul-Hakeem for alleged simple assault and harassment.
