Local Christmas Tree Disposal Schedule

Sadly it will soon be time to get rid of your Christmas tree. Here's information on how to do it where you live.

The holiday season ended just last week, but, if your house is anything like mine, your Christmas tree is probably still up.  You shuld really get rid of that thing.  It's a fire hazard. Here's a breakdown of how to get rid of your tree depending on where you live. West Chester Borough: Borough residents can simply leave their trees at curbside on trash day.  However, the borough will only pick them up for the frist two weeks in January.  After that you're on your own. West Goshen Township: West Goshen residents have two options for Christmas tree disposal.  First, they can leave their trees curbside on Saturday, Jan. 19.  Residents can also take their trees to West Goshen Community Park and leave them in the parking lot for mulching. …

Christmas Tree Pickup Information

Here's a schedule of when municipalities in the West Chester Area will pickup Christmas trees for disposal.

Christmas is over, but some of us still have that tree in our living room.  Here's when and how you can dispose of your tree in the various municipalities in the West Chester area. West Chester Borough Public Works will pickup trees at curbside all of this week and next week.  Residents are asked to simply take their tree to the curb. West Goshen Township West Goshen's curbside pickup will be on Saturday, Jan. 14.  The township asks that trees be put out for disposal the night before.  Residents can also take their trees to West Goshen Community Park until Jan. 16 for mulching. East Goshen Township East Goshen will pickup trees curbside on Wednesday, Jan. 11 and Wednesday, Jan. 25.  The township asks that trees be placed out the night …

The life of a Christmas tree is short but memorable.

Oh Christmas tree, just look at you. Your once festive glow is gone as you lay on my sidewalk like a piece of common trash. I still remember the first time I saw you, the moment that nice man at Produce Junction cut open your netting and you shook your branches free as we admired you. The memory plays in slow motion, adding to the seduction of your verdant scent and pert needles. The family and I knew you were the one at that very moment.
