The five men allegedly shot and killed a 24-year-old borough man Jan. 25.
Five men have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a West Chester man on Union Street late last month, the Chester County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday afternoon. Tyrone Palmer, 21, Sergio Droz, 20, Calvin Thompson, 21, Anthony Brightwell, 24, all of Chester, and Nafis Janey, 20, of Brookhaven, were charged for their alleged roles in the homicide. According to court documents, just before 11 p.m. Jan. 25, Jamal Scott, a 24-year-old resident of East Barnard Street, was shot in the chest by a 9mm handgun while in his car on Union Street. Two men charged with murder after West Chester resident Jamal Scott died from a gunshot wound on Jan. 25.
Two men are charged with murder in the January shooting death of West Chester resident Jamal Scott. Sergio Droz, 24, of Chester, and Anthony Brightwell Jr., 24, of Upper Darby, are charged with murder, criminal homicide, robbery, possession of instruments of crime and criminal conspiracy. West Chester police say they have both men in custody. Police received a report of shots fired on Jan. 25 shortly before 11 p.m. in the area of Matlack and Union streets, according to a police report. Several minutes later, Scott arrived at Chester County Hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest. Police believe that Scott drove himself to the hospital. According to CBS, police are seeking a suspect after he exposed himself to a child last Thursday morning.
According to CBS News, police in the West Chester area are seeking a suspect after he allegedly exposed himself to a child around 6:45 a.m. on Thursday morning near the intersection of Rosedale and Ceredo Avenue in West Goshen Township. CBS also says that according to police a man in his late 20's or early 30's drove by the intersection and waved at a child waiting for the bus. The child ignored the man, and then he drove off. According to police, the man returned to the scene a moment later, stopped in the middle of the street and asked the child to get in the car. When the child did not, the man exposed himself.
