The 27-year-old driver lost control of his car on the Route 30 Bypass on Sunday night.
A West Chester man was killed Sunday night after he lost control of his vehicle on the Route 30 Bypass and struck a tree, according to the Delaware County Daily Times. John Michael Stoffa, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the paper. His two passengers were taken to Paoli Hospital for modest injuries. The driver flipped his Nissan after crashing into a parked car this month.
A 40-year-old Coatesville man was arrested earlier this month after West Chester Police say he crashed his Nissan Altima into a parked car while intoxicated. On March 14 at 8:13 p.m., West Chester Police responded to the 600 block of North Church Street for a report of a car crash, police say. At the scene, officers found a Nissan Altima overturned on its roof. The Nissan had struck a parked and unoccupied vehicle, police say. Both cars sustained heavy damage from the impact. Police say the driver of the Altima smelled like alcohol and had glassy, bloodshot eyes. The defendant took and failed a series of field sobriety tests and was arrested on charges of DUI, careless driving, and texting while driving.

A 56-year-old Delaware man was hospitalized Monday afternoon after a serious multi-car accident on 202 in Westtown Township, Westtown-East Goshen Police are reporting. According to the department, at 12:26 p.m. police spotted a motor vehicle accident while on patrol in the 1100 block of Wilmington Pike. A Ford Edge traveling northbound collided with two other vehicles before the entrance to Westtown Village Shopping Center. After striking the two vehicles, police say the Ford traveled over a curb and collided with a large tree, parking lot light pole, and four parked and unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot of the Westtown Branch of TD Bank. Emergency personel found the man unconscious in his vehicle and charged him with drug possession, police say.
A 20-year-old West Chester man was hospitalized on Monday after he crashed his Honda Accord into a tree on Waterview Road, Westtown-East Goshen Police are reporting. The man was charged with DUI and possession of marijuana following the accident, which occurred in the Waterview Apartments complex where he lives. According to the department, on Feb. 25 at 10:06 p.m., police and EMS units arrived at the complex for a reported accident and found a 2010 Honda Accord backed into a tree and the driver unconscious inside the vehicle. A 25-year-old borough resident dies after striking a pole early Sunday morning.
Police say they have identified a man who died in a fatal one-car crash that occurred on Sunday, Feb. 10, just after midnight. According to police, 25-year-old West Chester resident Rafael Hernandez was traveling alone on Route 322 near the intersection with Creek Road when he lost control of his car and struck a PECO pole. Officials declared Hernandez dead on the scene due to injuries sustained from the crash. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Harry O’Neil or Officer Gerry DiNunzio of the West Chester Police Department.

A 20-year-old Newtown Square resident was sentenced for causing a drunk-driving related accident on May 1.
The Daily Local reports that 20-year-old Newtown Square resident Cameron Smith was sentenced to 72 hours to 23 months of jail time for his role in a head-on drunk driving accident that occurred on May 1. According to the Daily Local, Westtown-East Goshen police were dispatched to Route 202 in Westtown just south of Cheyney Road in the early morning hours.
