The American Helicopter Museum, which opened in 1996, is a tribute to those who developed the "rotary wing aircraft," as helicopters are called in the field. It chronicles the role helicopters play in history and the modern world. The museum offers summer camps and educational programs for preschoolers through adults. The facility also maintains a library and restores helicopters.
