Christmas Parade Returns to West Chester

See what's coming up this weekend.

The following information is provided by QVC.

QVC will be a major presence at this year’s Mars Drinks Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade presented by QVC, “one of the top ten places to experience the arrival of Santa Claus during the holiday season” according to USA TODAY. 

QVC hosts Carolyn Gracie and Dan Hughes will emcee the event, joined by 6 ABC’s Adam Joseph. QVC hosts Sharon Faetsch and Mary Beth Roe will be part of the parade along with the QVC Singers who will be performing throughout the evening. 

Below is the schedule for the parade, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec 6.

  • 6:00 pm: Visitors to Presenting Sponsor QVC’s Holiday Village (located on North High Street) will be able to meet and greet QVC hosts while being serenaded by the QVC Singers and enjoying tasty, free Cheryl’s Cookies.
  • 6:30 pm: 5th annual charity “Jingle Elf Run/Walk,” sponsored by ESC Janitorial and Maintenance, to benefit the West Chester University Alumni Dance Chapter.Registrants receive Jingle Elf hats to keep their ears warm for the 2-mile run or 1-mile walk along the parade route. Awards for creative holiday outfits and a cash prize for best elf costume.
  • 7:15 pm: Parade begins, featuring the “Welcome Home Vets” float presented by DNB First and the Rotary Club of West Chester.
  • 8:45–9:00 pm Santa arrives (time approx. dependent on location along parade route).
