Planning Ahead and Stepping Back in Time in W. Chester Week Ahead

Here's a look at some of the things happening this week in and around West Chester.


Monday

5:30 p.m. West Chester Zoning Planning Board meets to consider an appeal for an addition to a property at 212 Prince Street.

5:30 p.m. West Chester Public Works Committee meets to consider the hiring of a new Deputy Public Works Director to replace the one who was promoted. And to consider a contract to change all the street lights in the Borough over to energy-saving LED fixtures. 

6:30 p.m. West Chester Parks and Recreation Committee Meets Agenda items include: changing the vendor application process to "better regulate vendor content and displays" and a discussion about restoring the Marshall Square Park Fountain.

6:30 p.m. West ChesterParking Committee Meeting at Borough Hall. On the agenda: A request from Chester County to restrict parking on West Market Street on the northeast side of Potter Alley to improve visibility, Consider Saturday Daytime parking meter enforcement (currently the meters are free on Saturdays until 5 p.m.), discuss parking in the Municipal Building Lot, discuss data collected on parking permits collected as compared with public parking spots.


Tuesday

6 p.m. Temenos Tuesdays Open House Tour the 8-bedroom Retreat House, 18th century Farmhouse and natural trails. Experience chair massage, yoga demos, music and more.

8 p.m. The Mad Poets Society at Temenos - Poetry Reading Series

Thursday

10 a.m. Explorer Mornings at Brandywine River Museum

12 noon Anti-Fracking Rally in West Chester

Friday

9:30 a.m.  Celebrating the Artist: Andrew Wyeth's Birthday at Brandywine River Museum
