Annual May Festival Starts Friday at Hospital

The Chester County Hospital Foundation is throwing a party for the whole family this weekend.

 

You may have seen the banner hanging across North High Street downtown. But in case you missed it, the 30th Annual Chester County Hospital Foundation May Festival starts Friday at 4 p.m. at the Hospital at 701 E. Marshall St., West Chester.

Entrance to the event is free but there is a charge for rides and other attractions.

According to the May Festival website a limited quantity of $10 Play All Day Wristbands are available. Wristbands include amusement rides, inflatables, games in the children's area, trackless train and petting zoo. Festival food, pony rides, face painting and games of chance are additional.

Parking

  • Here's what the Festival website suggests:

Guests of the May Festival can park at Henderson High School behind the Tennis Courts located off of Lincoln Avenue. Shuttle buses will begin running 30 minutes prior to the opening of the festival each day and run continuously until 30 minutes after the festival closes

Amusements (Provided by Dreamland Amusements):

View The Hospital from high atop the Ferris wheel or test your endurance on the rock climbing wall. Enjoy amusement and activities for the entire family. This year there will be more rides than ever before!

Children's Activities:

Kids will be able to see their favorite animals at the petting zoo along with face painting, and other special guests and activities!Kids of all ages are sure to have a great day! Put together by Chester County Mothers of Multiples Club.

Shopping:

There is always something special to be found at the May Festival! Local artisans will be selling their unique and sometimes handmade wares. Don't forget to bring your own flower pot and have an expert design a flower arrangement specific to your liking.

Entertainment:

The May Festival provides entertainment for everyone! Try your luck at our wide variety of traditional carnival games (not included in wristband) or enjoy a game of BINGO. Be sure to check out the local talent at our first annual Battle of the Bands held on Friday night from 6pm - 9pm. Also, check out our full entertainment schedule for the weekend.

Food:

Great food will be available throughout the Festival. Enjoy funnel cake, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and more!

Wellness:

Stop by the Wellness Tent to learn about the many esteemed programs of The Chester County Hospital. Chester County Moms will also be sponsoring a Treasure Hunt. Participants can search the hospital grounds for the stickers to complete the hunt. Completed cards are entered into a drawing to win a XBox!

BINGO:

Join The Chester County Hospital Friday night from 6:00 - 9:00 pm for some good old-fashioned Bingo. Cash prizes, $1 games with a 50/50 split. Proceeds benefit Community Outreach at The Chester County Hospital.
