Inches of Snow Forecast For Tuesday Morning

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for our part of Chester County.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for eastern Chester County, including the areas surrounding West Chester, Malvern and Kennett Square.

The advisory, which will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec 17, calls for snow early Tuesday morning and in the afternoon.

“One to two inches of snow is expected during the morning,” the advisory states. “Snow will be falling during the morning commute with temperatures mainly in the mid-to-upper 20s. All untreated surfaces will be slippery and hazardous. Plan on morning travel delays and leave earlier to reach your destination on time.”

The National Weather Service says that “periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain [could] cause travel difficulties,” and that motorists should “be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.
