West Chester's Ryan Nassib Drafted by New York Giants

The former St. Maximilian Kolbe School student was picked in the fourth round of the NFL Draft.

He grew up rooting for the Eagles. This fall, he'll be playing for the Giants.

West Chester's Ryan Nassib, who played high school football at Malvern Prep before starting for three seasons at quarterback for Syracuse University, was selected by the New York Giants in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon.

The former St. Maximilian Kolbe School student was originally projected to go as high as No. 8 overall, but was the 110th selection in the draft.

He'll join Syracuse teammate Justin Pugh in New York, who the Giants picked with the 19th pick in the draft. Pugh is also a native of the Philadelphia area, as he attended Council Rock High School South.

Nassib passed for 3,749 yards and 26 touchdowns as a senior at Syracuse.
