Rustin Standout to Play Football for Duke

Rustin's Anthony Nash has committed to play football for Duke next fall.

Rustin wide receiver and basketball standout Anthony Nash committed to play tight end for the Duke Blue Devils next fall.

The six foot six inch tall Nash earned all Ches-Mont league honors this fall in football as well as in basketball this winter.

Nash also helped lead the Golden Knights to championships in both sports.

Playing receiver for Rustin, Nash pulled in 52 receptions for 1,159 yards and 16 touchdowns.  His quarterback, Andrew Fithian threw for 1,621 yards and 26 touchdowns.

If you do the math, Nash accounted for over 70 percent of the Golden Knight's passing attack and scored more than 60 percent of their passing touchdowns.

What's even more amazing is that last fall was the first year Nash played high school football, and that he has another season ahead of him to build on those already incredible numbers.

Though he plays wide receiver for the Golden Knights, the Blue Devils recruited him to play tight end.

Besides his athleticism and a sub-11-second 100-yard dash, Nash also carries a 3.3 grade point average in the classroom.
