Report: Henderson Football Coach Retires

The Daily Local reports that Henderson football coach, Joe Walsh, announced his retirement at Sunday night's team banquet.

reports that long-time football coach Joe Walsh announced his retirement Sunday night during the team's annual banquet.

"I just thought it was my time to go," Walsh told the Daily Local. "The staff is in place and it is time for assistant coach Steve Mitten to take over. Steve deserves to have time to run his program. He has done a great job and I think he will be very successful. I also wanted time to do other things."

Walsh leaves the program with an overall record of 131-104 and three Ches-Mont league titles.
