PA Student Who Made Half-Court Shot Gets His $10K (And Pizza)

Pizza Hut offered the West Chester University student the cash and grub through a tweet.

Miracle shot-maker Jack Lavery will get his $10,000--and with extra toppings.

The West Chest University student made a stunning series of shots during a halftime contest with a $10,000 prize. The only problem? A technicality. Lavery took two tries to make the half-court shot when the contest's rules dictated he would have to make it on one.

The Hatboro-Horsham High School graduate's story--and video of his half-court shot--quickly went viral. On Tuesday, Pizza Hut tweeted "Hey @JackLavs22, we know greatness when we see it. We have a check for $10K and free pizza for a year for you. What say you? #PayJackLavs."

A grateful Lavery accepted the cash offering and the extra pizza: "I feel incredibly blessed and honored to be awarded the generous gift of $10k and free pizza for a year! Thank you @pizzahut You guys rock."
