No. 9 West Chester Deals Loss To Georgian Court

The Golden Rams earn a big 21-5 win.

Junior Brittany Long scored a career-high five goals, and 11 different Golden Rams scored a goal, as ninth-ranked West Chester topped visiting Georgian Court, 21-5, Thursday.
 
West Chester (9-1) won its fifth straight contest, shutting out Georgian Court (8-4) in the first half. The Golden Rams controlled 15 of the 16 draw controls and dominated possession of the ball in the first 30 minutes. The host Rams took a 15-0 lead by halftime.
 
Lauren Glassey, Erin Oczkowski, Jacki Patterson, MacKenzie O’Keefe, Jordan Heidelbaugh and Melinda Speers each potted two goals apiece. Theresa Giunta, Tori Dugan, Nicole Pyle and Jamie Dolan each scored once. Dugan added three assists for four points while Dolan added a pair of assists for a three-point night.
 
Jess Henderson (9-1) made three saves in 40 minutes of action without allowing a goal. Kelsey Sward finished up the final 20 minutes.
 
West Chester returns to action on Saturday at 1 p.m. when the Golden Rams face PSAC foe Edinboro at Vonnie Gros Field.
