No. 7 West Chester Runs Past Slipppery Rock, 14-4

The Golden Rams win their 72 conference game in a row.

Nicole Pyle scored three goals and Tori Dugan and Lauren Glassey each posted a pair of goals to lead seventh-ranked West Chester University to a 14-4 PSAC women's lacrosse victory over host Slippery Rock Saturday afternoon.

West Chester (4-0, 2-0 PSAC) remains unbeaten on the season and has now won 72 consecutive regular season conference tilts with the win over Slippery Rock (2-3, 0-3).

The Golden Rams scored the game's first seven goals in an 18-minute span and never looked back. Pyle and Dugan each scored twice during that spurt. After Slippery Rock's Morgan Pettit put the hosts on the board, West Chester ran off three more tallies before halftime to take a 10-1 advantage into the break.

Jess Henderson (4-0) made nine saves in the cage for the Golden Rams, and Andrea Smith was credited with 10 ground balls to lead the Rams' defensive effort.

West Chester travels to Bloomsburg Sunday afternoon for another PSAC contest with the Huskies.
