Local Roundup: East Routs Henderson in Baseball

Here's a quick look at all the local sports action over the past couple of days.

In baseball, the West Chester East Vikings defeated the Henderson Warriors on Wednesday, 10-5.

Austin Constable hit a standing triple to start the home half of the seventh, and the Warriors would rally to score three runs.  However, East got three consecutive outs killing the rally and ending the game.

In track, both the Henderson girls and boys fell to Downingtown East.

However, the boys managed to win most of the running events with Luke Lefebure topping the 200 and 400 meters. A.J. Chaborek won the 800, Bryan Andrews won at 1,600 and Austin Stecklair conquered the 3,200.

In girls’ lacrosse, Henderson fell again to Downigtown East losing 17-6.

Rustin defeated Sun Valley in baseball, 11-8.  While in softball, East trumped Henderson, 10-3, and Sun Valley trounced Rustin, 10-2.

In boys’ tennis, Henderson defeated East, 5-2, and Rustin shutout Sun Valley, 7-0.
