District One Baseball Match Ups Announced

Henderson, Rustin and East are all in action this week as district playoffs get underway.

All three of the West Chester High Schools had baseball teams that qualified for districts.  Rustin kicks off the week with a first round game against Central Bucks East.

Rustin comes into the playoffs as the eighth seed in the south.  They finished the season 13-6 and won the American Division of the Ches-Mont league.  The Golden Knights play well at home, losing just one game their all season, but with the win over Central Bucks East they would have to play number one seed Council Rock on the road.

Henderson doesn't play until Wednesday because their 16-3 record earned them the four seed and a first round bye.  Henderson will play the winner of Monday's battle between Owen J. Roberts and Penncrest.

West Chester East took the second seed in the district playoffs, and they will play the winner of Truman and Garnet Valley.  The Vikings finished the season 17-2 after Downingtown East was forced to forfeit their National Division clinching win over the Vikings for the use of an ineligible pitcher.
