Cory Blake Named to All-State Team

The Rustin standout is named to the AAAA all-state team according to the Associated Press.

A panel of sports writers named West Chester Rustin standout Cory Blake to the AAAA second team all-state team on Monday.

Blake, who averaged 16 points per game, led the Golden Knights to a 25-5 record overall this season.

Led by Blake, the Golden Knights won the Ches-Mont league championship, and made it to the quarterfinals of the District 1 playoffs before falling to last year's state champion Plymouth-Whitemarsh.

The Golden Knights would then lose in the second round of the state playoffs to eventual champ, Chester.

Blake scored more than 1,000 points in his Rustin career, and he was also named to this year's all Ches-Mont first team along with teammate Anthony Nash.

Two Rustin players were also voted onto the Ches-Mont team with  Zach Butcher voted to the second team and Latrell Shelton receiving honorable mention.
