West Chester Hosts Queer and Feminist Film Festival

The festival will feature student produced shorts.

This coming Saturday, West Chester University is hosting LoOSenING Our Minds—a student produced feminist and queer film festival.

According to The Quad, WCU’s student newspaper, the festival’s films will run from 10 to 15 minutes and will cover different aspects of what they call the queer experience.

(Queer, the festival’s organizers note, shouldn’t be understood to mean strictly gay, but rather as a catchall term that covers any lifestyle apart from the mainstream. To this end, the films will, according to paper, “either send a message, tell a story, or portray what is happening to alienated students.”)
