Warm Winter Causes WCASD to Change Calendar

The West Chester Area School District announces dates for the end of the school year.

The winter of 2011-2012 will go down as one of the warmest on record with the biggest snowfall of the year coming the weekend of Halloween.

The lack of snow and ice this winter will have wide-ranging effects from a drop in car accidents to money saved by municipalities because they didn't have to plow.

Another effect that won't be missed: school will be out, early.
