West Chester School Board President Vincent Murphy says that negotiations are ongoing and off the record.

West Chester School Board President Vincent Murphy briefly addressed the continuing teachers’ contract negotiations at the end of Monday’s regular monthly meeting.

“Talks have been ongoing,” Murphy said.  “We have held two negotiation sessions since August 9, and we have a bargaining session set for August 29.”

Murphy went on to say that the district and the union will be working with a negotiator from the state, and that an update on the status of the contract is expected in the next few weeks.
